Circulating fans include ceiling fans, table fans, floor fans,
window fans, and fans mounted to walls. These fans create a wind chill effect
that helps to make you more comfortable, even if the space is also cooled by
air conditioning.
If you use air conditioning, a ceiling fan will allow you to
raise the thermostat setting about 4˚F with no reduction in comfort. Larger
ceiling fans can move more air than smaller fans. A larger blade will also
provide comparable cooling at a lower velocity than a smaller blade.
Box fans are typically used to help keep a room cool. Unlike
central air conditioning, they can only keep one room cool, rather than the
entire building or home.
Whatever type of fan you are using for cooling in your Arizona
home or office, be sure they are in good operating condition and that no
circuits are overloaded to operate them. Call Rogoz Electric at 623-363-5648
